Ladies Day at Lord’s on 28 June

Middlesex County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that Ladies Day at Lord’s, now an established social event in the cricketing calendar, will this year be taking place on Sunday 28 June, on the opening day of Middlesex’s LV= County Championship with Hampshire at the Home of Cricket. Bringing together all the excitement of First-Class domestic cricket with the essential elements of any popular socialites’ calendar event; Ladies Day at Lord’s is a day not to be missed.

There’s no finer ground in world cricket than Lord’s, and thanks to Middlesex County Cricket Club, all ladies will be welcomed into the ground for FREE on Ladies Day, allowing you to enjoy all of the cricketing action and much more besides with the compliments of Middlesex.

Furthermore, ladies and their accompanying partner guests will be invited for a glass of complimentary champagne* at the top of the Mound Stand, where you can relax and enjoy one of the best views of the pitch that Lord’s has to offer. Anyone wishing to join us at the champagne reception, courtesy of Bibendum – PLB, which is held between 12 noon and 1pm, must adhere to a smart dress code, with gentlemen in jackets and ties and ladies encouraged to wear hats or fascinators. (*only one glass of champagne per person, served between 12 noon and 1pm only, and subject to availability).

Guests are welcome to spend the remainder of the afternoon up in the Mound Stand, enjoying the fabulous views, where bars will be available serving food and drinks all day. So come and join us for what is always one of the best days out at Lord’s each year.

Ladies will also have the opportunity to relax and be pampered at the top of the Mound Stand, with a range of beauty treatments available from qualified beauticians, who will be providing mini manicures, mini pedicures and reflexology on the day. Anyone wishing to enjoy one of the beauty treatments between 10.30am and 12 noon will need to book in advance in order to gain early entry to the Mound Stand. For treatments between 12pm and 5pm bookings in advance are being taken but are not compulsory. Bookings can be made by emailing jasmine.newey@middlesexccc.com Treatments will be available until 5.00pm and a percentage of all proceeds taken by the beauticians will be donated to Middlesex’s long standing charity partner, Shooting Star Chase.

The ‘Best Hat’ competition is a hugely popular focal point of the day, so make sure you pull out all the stops and come along to Lord’s wearing your finest millinery creation. As always we’ll be awarding bottles of Champagne to the winners of our ‘Spirit of the Day’ hat, to the Lady wearing the most creative millinery masterpiece and to our ‘Best Dressed Lady’, presented to the most elegant lady on the day.

All in all, Ladies Day is set to be a fantastic and enjoyable cricketing experience for gents and ladies alike, so come along and enjoy the fun of Ladies Day at Lord’s, and don’t miss out on the cricket calendars social event of the year.
