Middlesex Development League (The MDL)
The MDL aims to inspire more young people to play the game more often, competitively, and in the Spirit of Cricket. Primarily engaging 16-21 year olds, The MDL was setup to respond to the needs of clubs in relation to the ongoing development of younger players. The competition
Entry is open to any organisation affiliated to Middlesex Cricket and all 40 over matches take place on Sundays, once school, college and university exams have finished in mid-June. The six-week Group Stage is arranged geographically and a minimum of seven players must be aged Under 21 or below. All players wear coloured clothing and games are played with the pink ball.

Vitality Under 19 T20 Blast
The national U19 T20 competition was developed through player insight to combat a significant trend within clubs – young players dropping out of the game after Under 15s. The insight included these key factors:

The newest of Middlesex Cricket’s ‘player transition’ competitions, the Middlesex Youth Cup is aimed at 14-17 year olds, and offers an exciting first introduction to T20 Blast-style cricket.
Like The MDL and Under 19 T20, there are parallel Trophy and Shield competitions available, allowing new and returning teams alike to find the right competitive level for their young players to participate in. When available, the final even takes place at Lord’s! What better way to finish a young player’s junior cricketing journey, than the possibility of a match at The Home of Cricket…

This season there is also a brand new Middlesex Youth Cup Girls Competition, which begins on Friday 24 June. We're very excited for this, with eight teams taking part in its inaugural year.

Middlesex Indoor Cricket
The county stage of the ECB Indoor National Club Championship usually takes place every autumn at the Middlesex Indoor Cricket School. It is a six-a-side tournament played with a hard ball. Group winners and Runners-up qualify for Trophy and Shield finals days. The Trophy winners then take part in the Round of 32 match to determine the 16 teams that go forward to the four Regional Finals Days in the new year. The winners of the Regional finals then compete in the National Finals Day at Lord’s in March.

The Middlesex County Cricket League (MCCL), incorporating the ECB Middlesex Premier League (one of 26 ECB Premier Leagues in England & Wales) is the top league within our county’s recreational cricket pyramid.

Middlesex Premier Cricket League
The Middlesex Premier Cricket League was founded in 1992 and currently runs five divisions on Sundays for club 1st and 2nd XI's. It also runs Cup, Plate and T20 competitions for member clubs.

The Middlesex Sunday League runs a two-division 40 over competition predominantly made up of clubs from the Harrow and Hounslow areas of Middlesex but is open to all clubs.

T20 Community League
Middlesex Cricket offers Community T20 Leagues in the East and West of the County. The leagues take place on Sundays in Tower Hamlets and mid-week in Ealing running between May & August. The leagues are open to clubs and teams.
