Cricket Coach - 25 hours per week

Experienced ECB L2 or higher coach with first class and/or international playing experience to commit to London based club for the 2016 season. Salary commensurate with experience. Accommodation available.

ABOUT SOUTH HAMPSTEAD CRICKET CLUB

South Hampstead are a London based club, close to Lord's, and 20 minutes by tube to central London. They field 4 men's league sides on a Saturday, and a friendly and/or Development league side on a Sunday. They also run a thriving junior section with 120 members, which is very active between April and late July.

The club are looking for an experienced and qualified coach and assistant for the 2016 season, who is available for 25 hours per week (weekday evenings up to July, then weekdays until the end of August)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior coaching: 5 h per week

Conduct engaging training sessions that attract our cricketers. Inspire and bring the best out of our senior players. Teach promising cricketers how to think about their game and their teammates. Ensure equipment and facilities are looked after properly and securely put away after use.

1 hour additional per week ensuring equipment is taken out and put away in shed after training (children can help), and advising if new equipment is required.

Junior Coaching 20h per week

In addition to running training, once or twice per week you will need to accompany a junior side to an away game. Transport will be provided. The team will be organised. Your job is to ensure the team are mentally prepared to play cricket, and to apply their minds to the game, and help bring the best out of junior players, in terms of performance, and conduct. You may be asked to score on occasion, but parents should do this. You should take responsibility for well-being of young cricketers. You will be accompanied by at least one parent, and some games will have have an umpire appointed.
