Don't miss our next Middlesex Coaches Association event - 09 April 2017

To get you all completely ready for the start of the 2017 outdoor season, the Middlesex Coaches Association will be running a top-level event for our members on Sunday 9 April 2017 at the Middlesex Indoor School at Finchley.

At this event, the County ‘leads’, the Middlesex Regional Head Coaches, will take us through the five Middlesex ‘frameworks’.  The Regional Head Coaches will remind us of the key coaching points in the ‘frameworks’ and share with us some of the related drills that we can use to make a real difference in player outcomes.  As usual, there will be plenty of interaction between coaches attending and presenters, who will be very willing to answer your questions.  It is an opportunity not to miss.

The event starts at 2.00 pm and will finish at about 7.00 pm.  The sessions to be delivered are: fielding (Josh Knappett), spin bowling (Mark Lane), wicket keeping (Josh Knappett), seam bowling (Jamie Hewitt) and batting (Alan Coleman).  There will be a short break during the afternoon during which tea and coffee will be available and attendees may also wish to bring a snack.

Coaches wishing to attend this event should apply by email to Rod Croucher at coachesassociation@middlesexccc.com by Wednesday 5 April 2017 giving details of coaching qualification, club and coaching role.

This is likely to be an extremely popular event but please can I ask that if you apply to attend, you actually turn up on the day.  For recent MCoA events, a few coaches have applied to attend but then not turned up – this is not only frustrating for those delivering the session but means that perhaps these non-attenders have taken the place of someone who really wants to be there.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to get some top-level coaching advice and guidance.  I hope MCoA members will grab this chance to complete their preparations for the 2017 season, so that they make a positive impact on their players.
