Radlett Cricket Club is looking for an Executive Director of Cricket to develop and grow both the senior and junior sections. We are a successful and large cricket club based in Hertfordshire, 15 miles from Lords, with a playing membership of 75 adults and 200 juniors and an ambition to grow that further. We also have a unique partnership with, and are the training base of, Middlesex CCC
Job Description
- Create, lead and deliver the strategic cricket plan covering both Senior and YP cricket with the aim of improving coaching, performance and success
- Lead existing and recruit new coaches, captains, volunteers ensuring a best in class coaching programme is delivered for all cricket groups within budget
- Lead all aspects of senior team selection ensuring the club’s selection policy is adhered to
- Be a member of the RCC Executive ensuring the voice of cricket is heard and is paramount in the Club’s plan
- Have a high visible profile within the club and with Middlesex CCC
Performance Goals
- 1st XI to be repeatedly challenging for and win the ECB Hertfordshire Premier League and T20 cup and to compete regularly in the latter stages of National competitions
- All YP age groups to be represented in latter stages of HJL competitions
- All senior teams to be ranked the highest XI within the league structure
- To attract, retain and develop talented players capable of fulfilling their professional ambitions
- To nurture a strong off field sense of camaraderie, club and team spirit
- Increased revenue from increased levels of membership
Skills and Experience
- Experience of leading teams or programmes
- At least ECB Level 3 or similar coaching certification. Lower accreditation will be considered for outstanding candidates who are committed to developing further
- Clear sense of priority and direction and a track record of success
- Excellence in establishing relationships quickly with all stakeholders
- Ideally previous first class cricketing experience and able to still play
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial and business skills would also be of benefit.
Remuneration
- Competitive fixed rate salary based upon experience and skills
- Additional incentive scheme which will include
- An unlimited % based upon exceeding income and performance targets
- Bonus scheme linked to success of RCC 1st team
- In addition to the above the individual would have an option to earn additional income through one to one coaching
- The player would also be subject to the First team player contract remuneration and responsibilities
