MIDDLESEX CRICKET LAUNCHES ALL-STARS 'HAVE A GO' SUMMER SESSIONS

All Stars Cricket goes from strength to strength as Middlesex Cricket launches brand-new All Stars 'Have A Go' taster sessions

This summer, forty-eight local cricket clubs have signed up to All Stars and Middlesex Cricket has organised a further twenty-seven centres across the county for children to participate in the programme – where there is not currently a local, traditional club available.

To date, almost 2,700 young people have signed up in 2019, with nearly 900 of those being funded via bursaries thanks to the support of various donors including the Seaxe Club and Wilf Slack Young Cricketers Development Trust, among others. Now in its third year, All Stars Cricket continues to grow both locally and nationally, and there is now one club in Middlesex that attracts more than 200 participants!

As well as ten further All Stars centres starting later in the summer, Middlesex Cricket will also be running four All Stars ‘Have a Go’ Days around the county on the following dates, times and locations...

Sharon Eyers, Middlesex Cricket Participation Manager commented:

"We have delighted with the take up of All Stars Cricket this year and can't wait to open it up to more young people interested in taking up the game. Whether you've been excited by the World Cup this year, are looking forward to the Ashes, or are just keen to pick up a bat and have a go, we'd be thrilled for anyone to join us at one of our All Stars Have A Go days this summer.

"With more young people showing an interest in the game than ever before and this summer being the biggest summer of cricket for many a year, we are confident of breaking through the 3,000 All Stars participants barrier and are really excited to be launching more camps and our Have A Go days over the coming months."
