SUMMER TO WINTER COACHING
To help all Middlesex coaches preparation for winter training, the Middlesex Coaches Association (MCoA) will be running an exciting half-day event on Sunday 20 October 2019 at the Middlesex Indoor Cricket School, Finchley N3 2TA.
The aim of this event is to help those coaching in clubs, schools & community environments to understand the key themes emerging from the summer season and how these can be incorporated into your winter training & match-play activities. It is also a time of great change in the coaching environment with the ECB launching stage one of a new coach development structure and the Coaching Ambassador roles for clubs. This is the time to get right up to date with all this, so you can influence your winter cricket activities.
In support of this aim, the overall structure for the event will be:
Coach Development & Compliance updates – Katie Berry - Director of Participation & Safeguarding - will reflect on the 2019 season and explain changes to coaching courses and the new Coaching Ambassador programme
The impact of the Junior pitch length reform – an open session to reflect on the changes seen this season and how this has impacted your players and coaching
Middlesex Skills Framework updates – Rory Coutts - Head of Youth Cricket & Mark Lane - Assistant Head of Youth Cricket - will reflect on the 2019 season and identify the key coaching skills for developing players
The event will be held at the Middlesex Indoor School at Finchley. It will start at 10.00 am and finish at 1.30 pm. Tea / Coffee will be available from 9.30 am.
