Middlesex Cricket can today announce that all-rounder George Scott has chosen to leave the club and will join Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
Scott, 23, declined the offer of a new contract with Middlesex, favouring a move to the Bristol County Ground instead.
Scott, a product of the Middlesex Academy, made his debut for the first eleven in July 2015, in a T20 Blast clash against Essex - the first of 24 appearances he made for the club in the short format of the game.
His List-A debut came in the same year, although Scott had to wait until 2018 before making his Middlesex first-class debut - against Kent at Canterbury.
In 43 appearances for Middlesex in all forms of the game, Scott hit 692 runs and took 6 wickets.
Speaking of George Scott’s departure, Angus Fraser, Middlesex’s Managing Director of Cricket, commented…
“It is always disappointing to lose a player that you have invested a lot into, but we have to respect George's reasons for declining the offer of a contract extension.
“George is a cracking young man and we wish him well at Gloucestershire.”
