MIDDLESEX CRICKET IS SUPPORTING THE #CAPTAINTOM100 CAMPAIGN THIS COMING WEEKEND
Middlesex Cricket are proud to announce that the Club is supporting the Captain Tom 100 Campaign.
The campaign, which is the brilliant initiative of the late Colonel Sir Tom Moore’s (“Captain Tom”) family, invites supporters to take part in a challenge centred around ‘one hundred’ across the weekend of his birthday.
Between Friday April 30th and Monday May 3rd, the campaign is asking for supporters to do 100 of whatever they choose. It could be to bake 100 cakes, jump on the spot 100 times, do 100 sit ups, walk 100 lengths of your garden, catch a ball 100 times, do 100 football keepy-uppies – whatever you like, anything, anywhere – just do 100 of them and get involved!
Once you’ve done your 100, supporters are being asked to donate to charity, and Middlesex are getting behind one of our partner charities, The Felix Project, whilst also supporting the Captain Tom Foundation in our own fundraising efforts.
No matter how you choose to bring up your 100, we’d love you to join the Middlesex squad players in taking part in the challenge, and then donate as little, or as much, as you’d like to either of our chosen charities, or one of your own choosing.
We were all hugely inspired as a nation by Captain Tom’s own miraculous fundraising efforts for the NHS last year, and after his death earlier this year, his family pledged to honour his life with an event when everyone could get involved to help celebrate Captain Tom’s generosity of spirit and share in the joy he brought to millions at the height of the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Middlesex Chairman Mike O’Farrell, and Board Directors Mike Gatting and Angus Fraser will all be at Lord’s on Friday morning to help the family launch the initiative and we really hope you’re able to join us in helping to raise much needed funds for these two amazing charities over the coming weekend of Sir Tom Moore’s birthday.
Please click either of the links below, for details of how you can donate to either charity.

We’d love you to send us videos of you doing your own #CaptainTom100 challenges via email, to socialmedia@middlesexccc.com and we’ll pull the best of them together with the 100 Challenges being done by all of our squads, and we’ll share a video with our followers next week, to show how the Middlesex Family came together to support the #CaptainTom100 Challenge.
Thanks in advance for your support. It should be a fun weekend.
