Therapist – Paid Internship

Middlesex County Cricket Club are offering an exciting opportunity for a paid Therapist Internship within the Sports Science and Medicine Department. This is a seasonal position from April 2022 until mid-September 2022.

Middlesex Cricket, based at Lord’s, is responsible for cricket in the county, from Men’s and Women’s professional teams to recreational cricket for all ages within 17 London Boroughs that form the county of Middlesex.

Job Title Therapist Internship (60hours pcm as playing and training schedule dictates)

Location: Lord’s Cricket Ground, with cricket related travel as necessary

Term: Short term contract, April 2022 to mid September 2022

Salary: £800pcm plus expenses

Details:

• To work with a small team of physiotherapists providing cover to Middlesex County Cricket Club, professional and Academy squads.
• The role will involve covering training sessions and matches as well as treatment and rehabilitation of players.
• Due to the nature of the cricket schedule the role will involve some evening and weekend work.
• The role will be based at Lord’s Cricket Ground and facilities in North London but may involve some travel within the country.
• On the job training and a structured in-service program will be provided.
• You will report to and work under the Lead Physiotherapist.

Requirements:

• Physiotherapy degree and member of HPC and CSP.
• Qualified Sports Therapists will also be considered.
• A full driving license and ideally access to a car as job involves travelling to a variety of locations.
• Pitch side trauma qualification (help can be given to achieve this).
