Richard had more than 25 years’ experience as a senior partner with the global professional services firm, PwC, focussing on assurance. Richard is a leading authority on corporate governance, risk and compliance. He was the joint author with Lord Woolf of the ICC’s Governance Review in 2012.
Richard was appointed to the Middlesex CCC board in July 2016. His sporting governance roles currently include being a cricket independent director on the recently formed ECB Regulatory Committee, is the senior independent non-executive director of the England Hockey Board and is an active playing member and President of Hampstead & Westminster hockey club. Additionally, he is a non-executive director of BuroHappold and a trustee of The Woodland Trust. As a club cricketer in Middlesex he played for 15 years with North Middlesex and Hampstead CC.
