CAPPED: 2013
Sam has been a great servant to Middlesex over the past decade, notching up almost 9,000 First-Class runs for the club. The opening batsman tasted success in white-ball cricket as well last year, scoring a century at Radlett as he made his return to the Royal London One-Day Cup. His impressive average in the red-ball format (37.53), alongside his ability to carve out runs in difficult situations make him an invaluable asset to the first XI.
